Full description of the position

Job title: : Motor Core Sales Engineer

Location: Novi, MI

Working Hours: Full time (9am to 5pm with 1 unpaid hour lunch break)

Pay: $100K~ (DOE)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow Motor Core sales: Spearhead business development to secure new clients and expand existing accounts.
  • Customer champion: Foster long-term, trust-based relationships with assigned customers, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Bridge the gap: Act as the liaison between engineering team in Japan HQ and assigned customers, addressing inquiries and fostering seamless communication.
  • Order & fulfillment: Process customer orders accurately, track past due payments using designated tools, and guarantee timely resolution.
  • Compliance expert: Ensure all sales documentation adheres to company policies and external regulations, maintaining meticulous accuracy and completeness.
  • Meeting customer needs: Develop and track schedules to deliver on client expectations, effectively communicating their requests and needs to internal teams (production, quality, manufacturing, etc.).
  • Problem-solver: Proactively resolve discrepancies and technical issues faced by either the company in automotive customer, fostering solutions that optimize satisfaction.
  • Technical discussion: Deep dive into need and issue automotive customers have in terms of engineering. Implement proposals to engineering team of both new and existing customers from a technical perspective in automotive industry.

Required Knowledge:

  • Academic foundation: Hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry experience: Possess at least 3 years of engineering experience of traction motor in the automotive industry.
  • Digital wizard: Proficiently utilize Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to support various tasks.
