Harrington is seeking a Pump Specialist responsible for covering a multi-branch territory, covering Atlanta, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Tampa, Nashville and Orlando. This is a high paced regional sales position that helps grow pump sales through direct calls on customers, joint calls & training of branch sales, and growing key vendor relationships. This position plays a vital role in offering a complete technical solution to our customers in the fluid handling market.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a Sales Opportunity Plan, that targets new and existing customers with the highest potential for increased pump sales.
  • Smoothly transition the primary responsibility for established Pump customers to the appropriate Branch Sales Team as soon as a regular purchasing pattern develops.
  • Provide technical support and information to solve customer pump related problems.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with all branch personnel in assigned territory.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with all pump vendors.
  • Conduct product seminars, branch pump training, participate in professional organizations, and events such as Trade Shows and Open Houses as needed.
  • Prepare, generate, and maintain itineraries, call and activity reports, account information, project opportunities and details in Harringtons CRM system.

  • Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) or three to five years of experience working with technical specifications for pump systems or related products; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of principles and theories of science, engineering, electronics and mathematics.
