We make all the products in our factory on the west side of Oahu in Kapolei and we sell to our customers through our various retail locations on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. We are currently hiring for our CocoNene brand. We sell island lifestyle home decor and personalized gifts and souvenirs. We are looking for 1 part-time & 1 full-time positive, driven, up-beat sales associates to be brand ambassadors to all things Aloha for our store in Ala Moana Shopping Center. This means providing unmatched customer service, selling our fun, unique and Hawaii-made decor & souvenirs straight from the local artists and designers we partner with, all while imparting our own unique Hawaii stories with clients. Pay options are either: 1) a base hourly between $16-18/h or 2) a commission structure of base pay $15/h + commissions (average $16-20+/h). Full-time employees are eligible to receive full benefits: medical insurance, 401k, paid time off and an employee discount (25% off all sister companies). Part-time employees qualify for the employee discount (25% across all sister companies). Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Assist customers with shopping experience, sharing our story, brand and products

• Hitting individual sales goals

• Keeping the store looking great at all times

• Stock/inventory & shipment duties

• Cash handling, operating point of sale programs, preparing bank cash deposits

Here is what we are looking for in candidates:

• Experience in customer service and retail preferred

• Experience with handling cash and point of sales systems

• Conversational Japanese, preferred
• Warm, friendly, positive attitude, excited to share the Coconene Way and products with customers

• Goal-oriented, driven to grow sales

• Strong desire to learn, grow and improve

• Reliable, disciplined, self-motivated, and takes the initiative

• Able to work independently

• Flexible, ability to adapt to daily responsibilities

• High school graduate or equivalent

• Flexible/open availability (store hours 10am-6/8pm)
