Roles & Duties:

  • Actively promote and facilitate the sales of our biomedical research apparatus, emphasizing our specialized sanitization and disinfection lineup to diverse establishments including universities, hospitals, and biotech firms.
  • Using an in-depth understanding of our products, instruct, demonstrate, and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Sales Activity: Account Management for existing clients, new business development; always maintaining appropriate sales activity levels; minimum 10 sales appointments/ week including new & current accounts.
  • Foster meaningful ties with Architects and Engineering Entities, guiding them on the latest in biomedical solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to chalk out robust sales strategies, ensuring both immediate and long-term goals are met.
  • Balance efforts between nurturing existing partnerships and prospecting fresh collaborations.
  • Consistently outpace commercial targets, be it revenue streams or diversified product sales.
  • Participate actively in both regional and national industry-centric events.
  • Execute compelling product demonstrations tailored for potential clientele.
  • Keep meticulous records - from sales metrics and client communications to quotes and product training.
  • Serve as the pivotal link that bridges sales strategies with our esteemed client base, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Oversee equipment evaluations and spearhead initial setups when required.

Role Dynamics & Territory:
  • This role demands extensive traveling within California, a state teeming with our valued customers. As we seek to reestablish and nurture these relationships, your primary responsibility will be to effectively cover this territory.
  • While our company originates from Canada, with a significant presence in washing solutions, our focus is now on California. Your role will encompass both service (approximately 60% of the time) and sales, ensuring our brand's formidable presence in the region.
  • Experience in home washer maintenance or similar domains will be an added advantage. Although our equipment is vastly more extensive, the foundational knowledge will be beneficial.
  • The sales process is a holistic one, encompassing installation and service. While these are distinct departments, the synergy between them is pivotal for overall success.
  • As we already have a sales representative stationed in Washington state, our aim is to bolster our presence in California.
  • Key expectations include developing and reestablishing relationships, compiling weekly reports, and efficiently organizing your work schedule. This will involve regular client visits, systematic territory management, and scheduling appointments, ensuring every region is adequately covered.

Skillset & Experience:
  • ***Minimum 2 to 4 years sales experience with biomedical research related equipment***
  • Local to San Diego, Bay Area or Los Angeles, CA However, you should be open to 50+% travel to cater to our clientele effectively throughout California and Arizona.
  • Proven expertise in creating and executing territorial growth strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, adept relationship-building capacities, and keen business acumen are indispensable.
  • Previous exposure to sanitization or disinfection domains will provide an edge.
  • Familiarity with the Lab Animal Science arena is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Power Point, negotiation techniques, and the MS Office suite.
  • A BS/BA degree holder with an active driver's license.

Remuneration & Perks:
  • This full-time role offers a base salary of $70K-80K, complemented by a commission structure that can see on-target earnings in the $110-130K range, uncapped.
