Full description of the position

General Summary:

This is onsite position at our facility in Baraboo, WI.

The Sales Director position is primarily responsible for the profitable growth through, and management of Flambeaus Contract Manufacturing Group outside salespeople. This Director position is focused on the strategic business development of Flambeaus Contract Manufacturing business, providing new solutions to customers and prospects to profitably grow revenue through closing additional business. This Director must utilize their selling / relationship development skills and management / organizational capabilities to identify opportunities to sell Flambeau solutions. The ideal candidate for this Sales Director position will possess a blend of skills requiring the ability to effectively manage the business needs, working with customers, and effectively managing other members of the Flambeau team to deliver new business. In addition, this role acts as a conduit between the prospect, appropriate sales and technical personnel in Flambeau operating units to identify, organize and focus the resources required to deliver the sales support for customer relationships.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversight of Weekly Sales Reports from salespeople
  • Managing effectiveness of associated task file notes
  • Managing effectiveness of planned trips
  • Oversight of salespeople Target Prospect accounts
  • Oversight of salespeople mileage reports and expense reports for effectiveness
  • Management of salespeople commissions approval and oversight
  • Develop and manage efforts for Account Sales Plan for each account, starting with SAM/KAM accounts, with salespeople
  • Management of New Business Pipeline Utilize CRM system for tracking, upkeep and closing of high probability opportunities
  • Develop and manage salespeople Personal Improvement Programs
  • Assistance in realignment of salespeople territories
  • Assistance in salespeople recruitment
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Certification Requirements:

BS or BA degree; MBA or advanced degree desirable

Experience & Skill Requirements:

  • 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience selling into manufacturers with demonstrative skills in managing a salesforce.
  • Consultative and strategic experience. Demonstrated track record of project management skills to deliver profitable results.

Understanding of marketing-focused outsourced solutions.

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills targeted to C-level audience.
  • Demonstrated capability of developing needs-based proposals.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Self-motivated with minimum supervision required.

Physical Requirements:

This role does not carry any significant physical demands in its daily conduct, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, copy machine, laptop and cell phone. May be required to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally. Most work is completed in office environment and while traveling to work with customers and team members.

Supervision Over the Following Roles:

Territory Sales Managers

Work Schedule/Overtime/Travel Requirements:

40-55 hours a week.

Occasional travel is required.
