Job Summary: As an Expeditor at AWC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of products to our clients in the oil and gas sector. You will be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials and supplies through various stages of the supply chain, working closely with internal teams and external vendors to meet delivery deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to monitor and prioritize orders based on customer requirements and production schedules.
- Communicate regularly with vendors to track the status of orders, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Evaluate and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock, optimizing supply chain efficiency.
- Expedite urgent or critical orders, providing real-time updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Work closely with shipping carriers to coordinate transportation and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Create, Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to order fulfillment and delivery timelines.
- Resolve discrepancies in orders, quantities, and delivery dates to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain and logistics functions.
About YOU
You will be part of a growing business with diverse technology offerings which include process automation systems, field instrumentation, instrument/mechanical products, control/automated valves, overpressure protection solutions with both shop and field service operations.
You will bring with you:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management, business or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in expediting or a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent business acumen and ability to prioritize and make sound judgment.
- Observe and maintain confidentiality as necessary.
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Strong work ethic and ownership mentality
