Job description

The Tidewater Equipment Company - Ag and Construction, Enterprise, AL location is looking for a Parts Counter Sales Representative, to fill an immediate opening.

The Parts Counter Sales Representative is responsible for selling, receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories. In addition performs in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties.

Essential Functions:

• Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
• Greets and assists customers as they enter the store
• Answer phone calls
• Check in daily stock and emergency orders
• Look up parts correctly and in a timely manner
• Keeps parts department retail area clean and orderly
• Stocks shelves as needed
• Makes outbound calls to customers to actively sell parts
• Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
• Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience in agriculture or willing to learn
• Friendly and customer service oriented
• Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
• Basic parts and machinery knowledge
• Experienced in Part Sales
• Knowledge of farm equipment
• Ability to use the Catalog computer application
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• Fork lift license preferred but not required
