Project manager/Estimator with Sales experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized Sales/Renovation Project Manager to join our team. The Renovation Project /Sales Manager will manage multiple renovation projects from planning to completion while working with a team of professionals such as architects, engineers, subcontractors, and a construction team. The Sales/Project Manager will ensure that all project activities are executed in a timely and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate must be a great team leader and support. Communication and professionalism are key to the success of this role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Strum up new business
- Project Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other vendors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable services.
- Bid Preparation: Develop comprehensive bid packages, including detailed cost breakdowns and project timelines, in response to RFPs and RFQs.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with the project and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other team members to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimations.
- Value Engineering: Explore cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options without compromising project quality.
- Estimating Software: Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process. MUST have experience using Xactimate/Xactremodel to build estimates.
- Work with clients to define project requirements and develop renovation plans
- Communicate renovation plans to clients, subcontractors, and other project partners
- Accurately track progress of renovation projects
- Order material takeoffs
- Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships
- Monitor and control project costs and timelines
- Resolve conflicts and project issues with clients
- Utilize current construction methodologies and project management tools
- Ensure that all necessary permits and inspections are completed
- Manage, schedule and oversee a crew of renovation techs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field or equal experience.
- Book of business
- Local sales experience
- Proven experience as a Construction Sales Estimator and Project Manager.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software Xactimate/Xactremodel to build estimates required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of current market trends, materials, and construction methods.
- Must have a can do and collaborative attitude
- Must be insurable with a clean driving record
- Must have 5 years of experience in a project management or estimator role
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills- text, call, email
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to take on additional tasks as needed
- Must be efficient with software programs and google drive
- Collaborate with engineers, architects and other workers in the same project
- Choose subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities
- Responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise
- Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements
- Report project progress and budget
- Explain contract and technical matter to others in a clear manner
- Prepare budget and cost estimates, along with work timetables
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,805.00 - $98,978.00 per year
