JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide leadership for and supervision of Parts Department employees. Manages the parts operation (i.e. counter sales, warehouse & parts delivery). Provides exceptional customer service and maintains superior employee relations. Work to maintain and manage the proper items and quantities of items on hand in our inventory. Establish inventory min/max and meet or exceed part inventory turns and parts first pass fill rate. Helps to develop and responsible to meet the parts budget and overall goals of the parts department. Solve customer issues with both internal and external customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school graduate; bachelors degree in related field preferred.
  • Five years in purchasing/procurement.
  • Five years in a parts department, customer contact position in school bus, truck, or automotive parts sales position.
  • Must have prior management/supervisory experience.
COMPETENCIES:
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • Applicant should be detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and the abilities to clearly exchange information both verbally as well as through written communication as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
