Georgia Mountain Coaster is the only roller coaster in Helen, GA-- one of Georgia's most popular tourist destinations. We are proud to have a great staff that keeps our operations running smoothly every day of the year.

We are gearing up for the summer season and are looking for some new people to join our team. We have multiple slots open for new sales associates. If you are positive, outgoing, motivated, and you like working with a team in a fast-paced environment, then we'd love to see your application!

Our sales associates convey the basic workings of the ride to potential customers, make sure people who are interested in riding are in fact eligible to ride, sell tickets and merchandise, stock the gift shop, and will often need to communicate with the lead operator overseeing the ride's operation outside about the ride and any situations that might arise.

Responsibilities:

As a sales associate, you will be expected to:

• Prep the gift shop, ticket windows, and photo sales areas each morning
• Sign up riders and communicate all important coaster rules and safety requirements
• Communicate with management, lead operators, operators, and maintenance staff about the status of the ride and any incidents or customer concerns
• Use a point of sale system to sell tickets and merchandise
• Answer incoming calls, provide key information, and take messages as needed
• Assist with receiving, storing, and displaying all merchandise
• Routinely restock and straighten the items on display in our gift shop
• Provide top-notch customer service to all of our guests
• Help other team members clean the gift shop and customer restrooms
• Help experienced members of our sales team close registers, verifying tills, and make nightly reports
• Run short errands around town such as trips to the post office, hardware store, grocery store, restaurants to pick up lunch, etc.
• Help decorate the gift shop and premises for seasonal events and holidays
• Cross-train as a ride attendant/ride operator to ensure all crew members have a solid understanding of the ride, mechanisms, hazards, and flow of operations. Sales associates will be expected to work outside in operations roles as needed.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements:

A sales associate must

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have reliable transportation
• Be available to consistently work weekends and some holidays
• Possess excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Be able to work under pressure while staying friendly and polite
• Possess organizational skills
• Be conscientious and display attention to detail
• Be team-oriented and open to direction
• Exhibit the qualities of enthusiasm, motivation, and friendliness
• Display kindness, warmth, respect, and compassion in their interactions with others

Desirable qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Retail experience
• Spanish-language, Bilingual
