Position Summary:

Southern Sky Brands is a Mississippi based manufacturer and distributor of fine cannabis and CBD products. We are a multi-brand company with daily deliveries all over the state. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with dispensaries in the State of Mississippi and managing Southern Sky Brands product distribution to licensed dispensaries. The position will also require visiting locations where Southern Sky products are sold and training dispensary staff on products and use. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for helping to determine the best product mix for dispensary needs. Will be a main point of contact for dispensaries.

Responsibilities would include prospecting, visiting, and opening new accounts, organically growing existing accounts, working existing programs to maximize customer benefits AND your earnings. Meeting/exceeding sales goals. Service existing accounts from order entry through the delivery of their product.

Knowledge of ERP & Inventory software (LeafLink) and MS Excel or G-Suite is recommended but more importantly, a desire to learn is required.

This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining brand partners across designated territories. Tasks will include calling and maintaining current retail partners, opening new accounts, scheduling budtender education events, training and pop-ups, generally checking in on retailers, building new relationships, marketing and helping promote our message regionally.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Qualifications

  • Maintain and help establish retail relationships.
  • Collect data and insight from phone calls, log data and feed to our sales team
  • Build and maintain spreadsheets with data collected.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, especially on the phone
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure/to tight deadlines, managing concurrent projects
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a keen desire to grow alongside the company
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Not Mandatory but preferred: Knowledge of cannabis, cannabis products, brands, etc
  • Train dispensary staff on Southern Sky products to ensure proper consumption and dosing
  • Work with dispensaries to improve product exposure and shelf positioning
  • Distribute promotional literature to customers
  • Maintain records of sales or other business transactions; prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales reports
  • Accurately communicate with Inventory Control to ensure correct products are ordered and distributed to dispensaries; verify and manage orders
  • Comply with all state marketing regulations
  • Maintain professional knowledge on all Southern Sky products
  • Must live in Mississippi Gulf Coast region or be willing to relocate

This is a remote work situation requiring frequent travel to dispensaries in Mississippi.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • Previous Cannabis or Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
  • Must have a Mississippi Cannabis work permit [please apply online] be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the Department of Health and Senior Services
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration, or related field preferred. Commensurate experience will be considered
  • Minimum 2 (two) years experience in an outside sales role
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
