JOB TITLE: Retail Sales Associate NON-EXEMPT

FULL-TIME: Store Hours Monday - Saturday 11am - 8pm PT, Sunday 11am - 7pm PT

REPORTS TO: Retail Store Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist in the day-to-day sales of the retail store; providing outstanding sales and service assistance to retail customers, achieving sales objectives, handle routine sales/service issues and escalations, executing store maintenance and visual merchandising tasks and working with associates within the store to improve selling skills, product knowledge and sales results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interact with all customers and maintain empathy and positivity in all interactions.
• Demonstrate the use and maintenance of machines.
• Set and achieve personal sales goals and assist in achieving store goals.
• Use Point of Sale system to process customer sales, returns, and swaps.
• Greet all customers in the store.
• When possible, offer coffee to customers as they shop or are waiting to enter the store.
• Clean and sanitize coffee service area and store surfaces.
• Restock and merchandise products and display areas.
• Assist with store opening and closing duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Be able to sit, bend, stand, move around the store and stockroom, and lift items up to 40 lbs. unassisted and possibly more on occasion with assistance
• Be able to use common retail tools such as basic computer applications
• Must be able to read and write in the English language
• Must be willing to work weekends

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in customer facing sales
• Work experience using POS and/or inventory management system.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Coffee/barista experience is a plus
