Position Overview: The Director of Sales is responsible for the growth and profitability of existing and new customers. This includes developing and implementing strategies to create opportunities for the sales team and increase sales volume and profitability. The Director of Sales will also be responsible for managing and motivating sales staff, monitoring the sales process, and developing and managing key customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategy and plans for existing and potential customers.
- Manage and motivate sales staff to ensure they reach their sales targets.
- Create and maintain relationships with key customers.
- Monitor the sales process from start to finish.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and maintain market intelligence on competitors and industry trends.
- Develop and manage budgets for sales campaigns.
- Develop strategies to increase sales volume and profitability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of related Steel or Metal sales experience.
- Strong knowledge of sales, business development, steel, and metal.
- Experience in sales management, outside sales, steel sales, metal sales, alloy sales, coils, alloy products, metal products, steel products, and sheet metal is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
