Title: Sales Applications Engineer - Medical Plastics Manufacturer
Location: Oldsmar, FL 34677
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 + 20% Bonus
Founded in 1987 we are a 300+ employee manufacturer of high performance medical & surgical tubing to customers internationally. Our headcount has grown 28% in the past 2 years with a strong amount of that growth in the engineering department. The way we set ourselves apart from the rest is that our tubing provides tighter tolerances than conventionally extruded plastic tubing. At our Oldsmar facility we are looking to hire an experienced Applcations Engineer coming out of the medical manufacturing space to serve as a lead and keep our department on the right track.
What You Will Be Doing
- Understand & interpret specifications on customer drawings
- Design & develop products w/i scope of our organization's capabilities
- Provide pricing to customers on both development & production level projects
- Attend trade shows to discuss our capabilities & projects w/ existing & potential customers
- Coordinate and manage R&D projects
- Document procedures & LHRs for processes they develop.
- Oversee training of operators in assembly area to compliance & competence
What You Need for this Position
- Bachelors in relevant Engineering discipline required
- 5+ years of engineering & project management ideal
- MS Office & CAD skills preferred
- Ability to travel 10-20% to various sites
- Exposure to the medical manufacturing space ideal
- Experience with bill of materials & routers ideal
- Good grasp of project management, risk management and validation tools ideal
