Business Development Associate (Pharma, Chemical or related exp req) Description

Our client in the chemical manufacturing industry is seeking a Business Development Associate to join their team in Baltimore, MD. This is an in-office position with the potential to transition to a hybrid model. You will be responsible for supporting the sales team activities and identifying potential clients through comprehensive research utilizing platforms like LinkedIn and industry-specific websites. This role presents the opportunity to earn uncapped commission starting from year two. Candidates must possess prior experience in sales or customer service within the pharmaceutical or chemical industries. The ideal candidate is career oriented, can work autonomously with little direction. Business Development Associate (Pharma, Chemical or related exp req) Responsibilities

• Identify potential clients
• Research prospects using LinkedIn and industry websites
• Maintain and manage sales pipeline

• Create sales proposals
• Collaborate with customers
• Submit purchase order paperwork
• Track sales, production, and transportation progress
• Participate in weekly strategic planning reviews
• Attend trade shows and industry events (10-20%)

Business Development Associate (Pharma, Chemical or related exp req) Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales or customer service in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry required
• Familiarity with CRM systems required
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook) required
• Ability to work onsite required
