About the opportunity
The Global GTM New Program Business Planner owns and leads the process to build and deliver an aligned and insight-led sales (volume) plan of record across all new consumer programs. This is critical to ensuring our portfolio growth plans are grounded in facts with market, consumer, and portfolio performance insights. Additionally, this role drives a framework to ensure sales is equipped with the right launch information to execute new program business plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver an aligned & insight-led volume plan of record across all new product programs
- Facilitates the process for building and communicating an aligned upon VPOR across all consumer products we launch- from pre CA gate thru Launch
- Responsible for working alongside new product managers to developed a bridge of assumptions which serves as a historical record of key assumptions used to estimate sales expectations (demand)
- Influences the volume plan of record with both product and sales leadership to ensure we are pushing for both growth and insight-driven assumptions- driving both accuracy and a push for growth as we launch new products
- Serves as SME/Record keeper of our latest assumptions. Responsible for understanding and reporting on program volume assumptions and adjustments throughout the development cycles
- Facilitates and ensures product and sales are equipped with a strong set of inputs to overall VPOR assumptions (insights, historicals, lifecycle plans etc.) which drive overall confidence in our estimates and data driven assumptions
- Collaborate with regional Business Planners to incorporate category lifecyle assumptions into VPOR
- Leads advancing our insights/inputs maturity which feed our assumptions and plans
- Performs VPOR retrospective to drive learnings which inform better outcomes in the future
- Collaborate with Demand Planning and Sales to ensure volumes are correctly reflected in the system
- Coordinate DROP plans globally to drive consistency across theaters
Drive a clear understanding across the business of our GTM plan of record
- Owns the framework for enabling sales to execute the Business Plan by equipping them with GTM plan: including but not limited to: portfolio roadmap, lifecycle strategy/plan, (SoS timing, promo plan, EOL plan), and marketing plans, documented VPOR assumptions
Deliver a framework which ensures launch execution readiness
- This role owns the process by which we ensure the cross-functional deliverables of sales, marketing, and supply chain are in place at launch.
