We are currently in search of a skilled Technical Account Manager who shares our passion for learning, utilizing innovative technology to overcome complex issues, and eager to reap the benefits of being an owner. As a Technical Account Manager with AWC, you will work directly with our technology partners and develop a deep understanding of their products. You will interact with our sales team, engineering team and our customers to understand their applications and discuss how technology can be implemented for improvement. You will strive to leverage agile design and development methods to create greater value faster, and to help our project teams execute to deliver as promised, on time and within budget. The successful candidate must be innovative, passionate, and resourceful while demonstrating technical skills.

The Job:

  • Communicate how to implement technical solutions with some of our key accounts
  • Work with our inside and outside sales team to implement word-class technology solutions
  • Teach concepts from the basics of electricity and motor control to complex SCADA database management and networking
  • Provide technical support for the following products/technologies: PLC, I/O, HMI, SCADA, Drives, Synchronized Motion Control, Networking, WiFi, Radios, Motor Controls, Control Panel Design, and Power Distribution
  • Quote and sell typical electrical commodity products such as wire, conduit, cabling, connectors, etc
  • Develop Bills-Of-Material based on customer requirements
  • Demonstrate hardware and software
  • Document best practices and share with colleagues
  • Motivated self-starter with the unique ability to manage a complex schedule

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
  • Sense of urgency, high energy with high accountability
  • Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written via phone, e-mail, etc.)
  • Be available and responsive immediately when needed
  • Demonstrated history of selling electrical commodities such as cable, wire, conduits, connectors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical sales experience as a account manager, trusted advisor with a proven sales history
  • Solid foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical principals
  • 4-year bachelors degree / 2-year technical degree (preferred in an Engineering)
  • 5 years of technical sales experience
  • Siemens, Phoenix, Rittal, Rockwell, Banner, Turck, FESTO experience
