Job Title: Sales Support Specialist

General Summary:

This is a new Sales Support Specialist position within our company. You will need to be confident and competent in the administrative and clerical tasks needed to support a sales and administrative team. Someone who is an effective communicator and highly organized. You would need to be passionate about the role fill of promoting the company and helping to grow sales.

This position will establish sales leads, assign them to the appropriate sales representative, and follow up on results. Attend trade shows from time to time, following up on leads from trade shows. Attend other office related meetings as requested.

This position requires a customer-oriented service representative who can handle switching between multiple processes with a great deal of focus, concentration, and accuracy. A well-organized person with a keen attention to detail. Someone who can prioritize their work and re-prioritize if the workday demands.

Someone who is accustomed to working across multiple software platforms with ease and skill, or the ability to learn new processes easily. Platforms such as: Microsoft 365, Quickbooks Premier, Salesforce, QuoteWerks and (CERM), and participate in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

In addition to data entry and typing, this position requires the ability and knowledge to create spreadsheets and create a word document worthy of publishing.

Preferably someone who has worked in a similar environment, who understands the differences between customers and vendors, quotes, purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents.

The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries for orders and accounting needs in timely manner to maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Job Title: Sales Customer Support Specialist

Additional responsibilities for this position include:

  • Identify and assess customers needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives in a timely manner and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents.
  • Manage, document and order as needed resale inventory.
  • Track back orders. Contact vendors about any incorrect shipments, discrepancies and or replacement needs.
  • Order entry - create and post customer orders using multiple computerized software, reviewing for accurate sales tax, and shipping methods and charges. Contact previous customers to encourage new orders.
  • Follow up on past due accounts receivables as directed by sales team.
  • Schedule International and domestic shipments as needed, including UPS, FedEx Uber, and other logistical transportation services.
  • Participate in educational activities.
  • Assist other office staff as needed or directed.
  • Some travel may be required to assist with Trade Shows.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality.

Expediting requests for rush orders altering sales orders and shipping information as required.

Other duties as assigned

Education: Applicable Trade school or associate degree preferred.

Experience: Two years in like business, customer service or accounting preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to work in a hectic work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Articulate with effective verbal and written communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
