Summary of Position: The Director of Sales is responsible for handling the short/long term planning and day to day operations of the Sales Department for Social and Corporate Sales at East Wind. Position will direct and oversee complete solicitation and management efforts of the Sales Departments. The position is accountable for selling the many venues.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards. Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
Directing sales team to maximize sales and bookings for both social and corporate sales. Assist and guide the sales process of weddings/special events and corporate.
Contract Negotiations, Preparing Proposals, Working with Online Referral Programs, Preparing Contracts and Banquet Event Orders, and customizing menus with the Chef.
Carry an active sales load.
Ensure the sales personnel is continually increasing awareness.
Assisting and guiding the sales process of weddings and special events, including but not limited to: A weekly action plan, Live Chat, Miscellaneous Lead Methods, Networking through Chambers, Community Events, and Bridal Shows.
Meet overall revenue objectives.
Manage advertising plans with Marketing.
Hire and train the appropriate sales personnel to fit into the department and can achieve the
appropriate results.
Showcase first class catering and service at events while working closely with clients to exceed expectations.
Direct, manage and coordinate all phases of events from sales to event planning to oversee a first class experience. Being visible at events to interact with staff, clients and their guests in a proactive and positive manner to create long lasting relationships
Required Experience: 3 - 5 year Catering, Social Sales with strong Wedding Experience.
