JOB SUMMARY
Our parent company has a history of over 20 years of successful entrepreneurial skills in multiple industries. We are in need of a Director of Business Development to assist with development and growth as we expand into the insurance industry. We are looking for a leader who has extensive knowledge and experience working with business to consumer products to join our team. We were recently approved by the Texas Department of Insurance and are in the building phase of the Company. We are seeking a flexible, adaptable team member who can assist in all areas of the business.
- Recruit and manage a sustainable pipeline of external agencies and agents
- Responsible for defining and executing our growth and scaling our market channels
- Monitor and analyze the market, competitors, trends, and benchmarks in the industry to identify business opportunities and potential threats
- Experiment with innovative ways to drive our brand, scale our audience reach and gain clients/customers
- Provide both point-of-sale and post-sale support for external and internal agents
- Experience utilizing insurance systems and provide input on system build out
- Utilize advanced operating strategies and capabilities, apply analytical and financial thinking to size opportunities, sharpen ideas, build roadmaps and model outcomes
- Manage internal team members and processes as we continue to grow
- 7+ years of insurance industry experience
- Intermediate level to advanced knowledge of insurance products and technical planning techniques
- Technically skills, proficiency working with insurance software and Microsoft Office products
- Experience working with recruiting, onboarding and training agencies and agents
- Experience and expertise in launching new lines of business
- Experience with Personal / Commercial business
- Ability to travel and work beyond normally scheduled workweek as necessary
- P&C (Property & Casualty) license required
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements in office position
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Could involve some lifting up to 20 pounds
- Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines
