Full description of the position

A3IM works closely with customers subject matter experts to increase value, improve supplier relationships, reduce spend, optimize existing budgets, and increase the efficiency of operations. We do this by using proven sourcing and purchasing strategies, best practices, innovative technologies, and an unsurpassed knowledge of market intelligence and relationships to help our clients achieve the maximum level of savings possible. This role does require a level of technical aptitude. You will talk daily to instrument and maintenance personnel within chemical plants and refineries.

Our ongoing monitoring and monthly audit process further ensures that savings remain competitive and sustainable in our market. Our approach is proactive and strategic to assess and address maintenance, projects, turnaround, warehouse inventory and procurement needs.

As an Inside Account Manager, you will have direct and daily contact with our customers and suppliers. The Inside Account Manager will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, sales forecasting, account analysis, and the RFQ process. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work closely with suppliers and customers, drive revenue growth, and contribute to the success of our organization. The position is fast paced and requires excellent communication, critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask. This is a Hybrid/Remote position and will require the candidate to occasionally work from one of our physical locations in Houston, Texas, or Gonzales, LA. Candidate must live within reasonable comminuting distance from those locations.

The Job

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and customers, ensuring timely communication, negotiation of terms, and resolution of issues
  • Utilize sales forecasting techniques and market analysis to predict demand, optimize inventory levels, and drive revenue growth
  • Conduct thorough account analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and develop strategies to maximize sales and profitability
  • Lead the RFQ process, including gathering requirements, preparing quotations, negotiating terms, and securing orders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of orders, resolve issues and provide exceptional customer service
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new business opportunities
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on supplier performance, sales forecasts, account analysis, and RFQ activity
  • Review work processes to ensure that internal and external quality standards are followed and suggest improvements.
  • Specify and recommend products to customers based off customers process data
  • Monitor & Manage Customer Order Management Systems Portals, Ariba, SAP, GSAP, Other

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in supplier relations, sales forecasting or Account Management
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with a collaborative spirit, a positive attitude, and a passion for exceeding customer expectations
  • Must be proficient user of Microsoft Excel
