Responsible for leading product sales, marketing, and execution of all aspects of the e-commerce business with the Lowes account [please apply online] for Toros residential home improvement channel segment. This includes P&L responsibility, strategic account(s) relationship management, development of annual e-commerce account annual operating plans, and omnichannel marketing. Responsible for developing, maintaining, leveraging, and influencing relationships with cross-functional stakeholders at multiple levels across account(s) merchant, marketing, brand advocate, retail media, and leadership team(s). Cross-functional team leadership to develop programs and promotions, and optimize .com content, brand presence, order fulfillment, draw and close rates, and overall .com sales and profitability.


What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and execute e-commerce product line reviews, annual account operating plans, and content strategies and tactics for the Lowes account within the Toro residential home improvement channel segment, to achieve annual sales growth and profitability plan objectives.
  • Partner with the Lowes senior national account manager and the residential marketing team to develop annual account operating plans to drive e-commerce sales and profitability growth that includes product portfolios, new product launch digital execution, digital marketing campaigns, seasonal promotions, special events, expanded online placement opportunities of existing products and portfolio expansion opportunities.
  • Align online placement, merchandising & visibility of Toros portfolio across the digital retail space at Lowes.com to expand brand presence and drive sales velocity across the digital e-commerce channel.
  • Manage all supplier partner focused e-commerce initiatives with [please apply online] to include the retail media (Lowes One Roof Media Network) and brand advocate programs.
  • Responsible for partnering with the strategic sales coordinator for the Lowes account on content (data and assets) management on retailer e-commerce platforms, including pricing, product information pages, videos and other digital assets.
  • Collaborate with the Lowes senior national account manager to ensure online alignment with in-store initiatives that include merchandising, promotions, product launches and key strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to lead the optimization of e-commerce fulfillment, including packaging, order processing, order execution and delivery execution.
  • Establish, analyze and report on the .com business key performance indicators via MSBI shipment and retail sales dashboard metrics, content scores, site traffic, customer draw and conversion, ROAS, etc.
  • Understand e-commerce best practices, industry trends, competitive products, pricing, & promotions, and make recommendations on digital marketing tactics to optimize online customer traffic, draw and close rates, etc., on Toro brand product information pages.


Other Job-Related Components:

  • Reports to Segment Leader, Residential Mass Sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with strategic mass retail partners, Director of Residential Sales, Lowes National Account Manager, Home Improvement Segment Leader, General Manager, Director of Residential Marketing, Product Marketing Managers, Marketing Communications, and Operations.
  • Collaborates and provides insights and direction to Marketing & Sales Directors on direct marketing and sales allowance annual budgets that support the Lowes annual account operating plan.
  • Responsible for cross-functional matrixed partnership with the Business Intelligence and Residential marketing teams to ensure program alignment and optimized performance across account(s) and product categories.
  • Travel as necessary (approximately 10-20%) to drive the sales and business plan execution of Toros mass residential business with the Lowes.com account.
  • Hybrid working conditions with dedicated workspace at Toro corporate headquarters in Bloomington, MN.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required; discipline in business or marketing related preferred.
  • Three to Five+ years of combined sales & marketing experience managing business plans with e-commerce, account management, retail marketing and merchandising, or related experience.
  • Experience with e-commerce sales and marketing with large retail accounts, including leading product line reviews for stores and .com (omnichannel), understanding digital marketing, and retail accounting.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills to enable professional sales business presentations and business negotiations on relatively complex business and e-commerce matters to customer stakeholders that have significant business and retail experience.
  • Collaborative, results-driven team player.
  • Self-starter with ability to complete work projects or conduct research with low supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demanding projects in a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing environment.
  • Proficient in PC and system skills to include MS Teams, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Qlikview/Microsoft BI, SAP (or similar)
