Full description of the position

About this Role:

Representing KSi Conveyors, Inc. in the seed treatment equipment and agri chem industries the Business Development Representative is accountable for contributing sales growth within the region through new client acquisition, customer retention, and advancing growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business relationships with the following: Direct Sale Customers, Seed Company Representatives, KSi Vendors, and Internal KSi departments (CAD team, operations team, accounting team, etc.)
  • Responsible for the project progression of seed treatment and agri chem projects in the following ways: Generate and follow up on new and existing project leads, Initial and sub sequential on-site visits with client, KSi vendor, and company partners to evaluate the needs and promote products and services, Instruct and collaborate with the CAD department on system design and operation, Quote and maintain accurate pricing through completion of sales order, and Coordinate logistics with production, vendor delivery, shipment of KSi equipment, installation, automation startup, and final training and startup
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Travel and overnight trips are required
  • Continuous contact with prospective clients through phone, email, and online meetings
  • Possess a good product and technical knowledge of all KSi products and any vendor supplied equipment that is used within a seed treating system
  • Verify that the equipment and automation being sold will function properly in the specific application required by KSi to meet the clients request
  • Communicate clearly with other sales team members to ensure that customers needs are being taken care of effectively and efficiently
  • Manage and submit reports, expenses, and work analysis within provided tracking systems
  • Willingness to assist and train customers on equipment start-up and operation as required by season
  • Actively participate in seasonal phone support as needed
  • Participate in sales team activities and meetings
  • Represent KSi at seminars, farm shows, and annual meetings assisting with necessary set up and tear down of demo equipment and marketing materials
  • Continuously improve through training and feedback

Key Account Leadership:

  • Responsible for key account activities in the following ways:
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, business partners and vendors while also being the primary KSi contact for communications
  • Liaise between key accounts, vendors and internal KSi departments
  • Drive KSi communications through key regional accounts, seed companies and vendors
  • Resolve complaints and collaborate with internal KSi departments to facilitate client and vendor needs
  • Identify opportunities and coordinate with other regional account managers to grow business and maintain consistent service goals

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
