Full description of the position

CAPP is hiring a motivated, results driven professional to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have relevant industry knowledge and experience, and a proven track record of identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop new business by actively prospecting for new accounts and establishing and maintaining profitable relationships
  • Target new and existing accounts, increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones
  • Retaining relationships with existing and new customers; acting as account representative between customer and inside sales staff
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of product offerings
  • Strategic focus, develop growth strategies, customer engagement plans, and growth of new segments/geographics
  • Create presentations for targeted accounts to highlight our offerings and generate new opportunities
  • Proposal generation, pricing and contract development
  • Participate in external conferences, trade shows, and other forums to promote the company and its offerings; some travel required

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • A proven sales record with 5+ years of experience in a similar industry (industrial/commercial), MRO, supply, distribution etc.
  • Knowledgeable about competitors and supply chain
  • Ability to learn and understand technical requirements of our customers to help meet their needs and offer the best solutions
  • Ability to express technical and non-technical concepts and solutions clearly and concisely
  • Analytical & reasoning abilities; ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts and industry reports
  • Ability to speak effectively to groups of customers, clients, and vendors
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Result-oriented with proven negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Thorough understanding of required technology including Google Suite, CRM, Social Networking, etc.
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and build trust internally and externally

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
