JOB TITLE: Liquid Bulk Food Grade Sales Representative

FLSA: Exempt

REPORTS TO: General Manager

SUMMARY: Supports Business Development departments goals for developing and maintaining business relationships with customers, clients, and carrier partners. Performs all functions according to established policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential functions are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer.

• Sales Strategy: developing and implementing a sales strategy aligned with the companys overall operational goals and objectives
• Sales planning focusing on sales plans in target areas and align with operations to be successful in continued market growth
• Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and threats.
• Customer relationship management: building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and clients.
• Provide sales plans, set new customer contact goals, help with developing dedicated customer lanes.
• Sales forecasting and tracking sales metrics generating sales reporting revenue per mile and identifying lanes that need rate improvement.
• Collaborating with other departments and customers service to ensure a coordinated approach to customer acquisition and retention.
• Implementing and utilizing sales technology tools (CRM customer relationship management) to manage customer data.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Independently motivated self-starter.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships.
• Must be highly organized and possess the ability to prioritize multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills (oral, written, and listening) with motivational ability.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and completion in preparing and entering information.
• Possess ability to be a problem solver and be able to handle conflict resolution.
• Ability to forecast future consequences and trends accurately.
• Ability to provide positive reinforcement and possess a positive attitude.
• Comfortable working in a high-stress environment and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort and strain when performing essential duties.
• Work may require more than 40 hours per week.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit/stand for most of his/her job duties. There is the need to frequently walk. There will be a moderate amount of standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting and reaching for some of his/her job duties.

Visual requirements include reading off a computer screen as well as printed materials. A high degree of dexterity is required due to frequent use of a telephone console.

Verbal and auditory requirements include the ability to communicate clearly over the telephone as well as in person.

There is a moderate level of grasping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling of objects of less than 25 lbs.
