Full description of the position

Purpose
This position is responsible for assisting the Wholesale Department for building sales to international and domestic wholesale customers. The primary responsibility will focus on obtaining Moran Foods Brand technical sheets by working with suppliers and maintain item catalogs to provide to current and prospective customers as well as processing customer orders. Maintaining positive relationships with existing and new customers is also required.
Responsibilities

• Have a close working relationship with all Moran Foods suppliers
• Obtain and maintain Moran Foods brand item technical sheets
• Maintain item catalogs for wholesale customers utilizing Moran Foods tools, such as Airtable
• Ensure export regulations are followed for any product sold to other countries
• Prepare product and country specific registration documentation required to conduct business
• Prepare required product registration information for export
• Investigate regulatory requirements for each foreign country; verify the requirements to ensure smooth business transactions
• Review current customer buying patterns; develop and present sales pitch recommendation to
• wholesale department lead to increase sales
• Maintain positive business relationship with existing customers for international and domestic
• wholesale customers
• Act as a liaison between wholesale customers and Save A Lot departments
• Perform other ad-hoc requests to help the Wholesale department grow sales

About You

• Bachelors Degree preferred; relevant experience considered
• Expertise in, or ability to research and interpret export and import regulations of both the U.S. and foreign countries preferred
• Has good financial acumen
• Possess strong computer skills including a good understanding of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to learn new computer programs quickly
• Utilizes excellent problem-solving skills
• Has strong ability and desire to learn
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships that translate into deliverables
• Results oriented
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and administrative skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel up to ~10% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed
• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment
• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal
• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday
• Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
