Job Summary

The Outside Sales Representative has to retain existing customers and gain new customers in a profitable manner. This position reports to the Branch Manager. The Outside Sales Representative is expected to conduct his/her business in a professional and ethical manner and to insure that safety is the number one priority.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Plan and execute sales activities to take care of existing customers and develop new prospects in order gain new customers and grow the business.
• Achieve agreed business goals, including costs, sales and profitability
• Manage time Use a time management tool and plan the week by setting appointments and prospecting areas and times.
• Manage account receivables by helping the A/R department resolve issues and help collect past due moneys to insure that the A/R does not exceed 90 days.
• Negotiate and attain Product Sale Agreements with existing and new customers.
• Conduct business in a safe and ethical manner.

Qualifications and Skills

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

High School graduate or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

3-5 Years industrial gas & welding supply sales experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Self motivated and organized

Strong negotiations skills

Ability to seek new business

Must be able to work with a variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

Requires a valid drivers license and personal vehicle with insurance
