Open Position: ACE Team Customer Service Agent
Description:

The ACE (Absolute Customer Experience) Agent works as part of a team and is responsible for some or all the functions of Underwriting support, Claims support, Policy Service Representative, Administrative support, and Agency Maintenance support.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Build a rapport with insureds, agents, and co-workers, offering friendly, courteous, and professional customer service.
Underwriting Support:
- Prepare and process policy quotations as directed or within the scope of assigned authority.
- Gather information on risks to be utilized in the underwriting decision process.
- Order inspections and Commercial audits per department guidelines.
- Address phone calls and/or written communication from insureds and agents.
- Review, approve, process, or refer policy endorsement requests, broker changes, releases, etc.
- Renews, non-renews, modifies policy renewals.
- Maintain diary on pending items to ensure they are handled in a timely manner.
- Process Policy recommendations.
- Produce policy quotes when assigned.
Claims Support:
- Process incoming mail.
- Assist customers in submitting first notice of loss.
- Attach documents and emails to Claim Files in insurance operating system.
- Process Loss run letters and ISO Reports.
Policy Service Representative Support and Administrative Support:
- Directly communicate with customers in person, or by phone, email, etc.
- Answer and route incoming calls. Process incoming and outgoing daily mail.
- Process premium payments, refunds, and accounts receivable reports.
- Coordinate daily printing of agent and insureds documents through third-party vendor.
- Accept and respond to billing phone calls from agents, insureds, and mortgagees.
- Negotiate payment arrangements with agents and insureds; determine policy reinstatement criteria.
- Assist with incoming mail payments by batching paper checks and delivering to A/R Team.
- Process monthly reports.
- Order office supplies:
Agency Maintenance Support:
- Assist Business Development Managers, Agents, and Underwriters within scope of authority.
- Process agency appointments, terminations, mergers, address changes, etc.
- Maintain current agent licensing and agency profiles.
- Process book of business.
- Provide support to other areas within the organization as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma: Associate degree in Business or equivalent experience preferred.
- Possess exemplary customer service skills, specifically strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Thrive in a dynamic team environment, be able to analyze situations and make reasonable judgements.
- Knowledge of phone systems, computer processing, and data entry.
- Must be capable of prioritizing work to meet deadlines, manage time effectively and pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
- Possess knowledge of the insurance industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Employment:
- Location: Cuba, New York
- Job Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
- Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am-4:00 pm
- Salary: BOE - $32,000-$57,000
