This Outside Sales Representative will be based out of the Binghamton location, but will cover sales territories from Binghamton north to Cortland, south to Scranton, east to Deposit and west to Elmira. The Outside Sales Representative is the face of Cook Brothers Industrial to our clients and prospects in their assigned territory and is responsible for providing solutions for their MRO, OEM and Industrial Supply needs. This person will have a heavy focus on Vendor Managed Inventory with a concentration on Fasteners, Abrasives and Safety Supplies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* meeting with existing clients and future prospects to assess their needs and provide products to fit those needs

* learn and become proficient with full product lines

* handle all sales functions - including providing quotes, processing orders and seeing them through to final delivery

* monitor account balances and payment history and assisting the AR department when necessary

* other miscellaneous branch duties as directed - such as receiving product, picking orders or performing deliveries

The Outside Sales Representative is required to be familiar with the day to day operations of the branch to which they are assigned. The successful candidate will be able to maintain and grow the sales in their territory - both in terms of gross sales and profit dollars, but also adding new clients on a regular basis. The expectation is that the Outside Sales Representative will have a great attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to adapt to the hectic demands of the industrial supply market.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
