Full description of the position

Threaded Screw Products is currently looking for dynamic and motivated individuals to join our inside and outside sales team with knowledge of fasteners. Sales associates are customer facing roles, where they are first point of contact. The roles require an engaging personality that can build rapport with our customer base via phone, email and face to face interactions. In building these relationships, we can use knowledge of our product offering and consultative selling to truly bring value to our partners. In addition, the ability to be resilient and resourceful is necessary to utilize all information available to answer inquiries and solve problems where the answer is not always clear. These are rewarding positions for those with a growth mindset and that genuinely enjoy working in a team environment. The inside sales position responds to customers inquiries or complaints regarding the organizations products or services. Makes periodic calls to existing customers to determine satisfaction with the organization, products and services. Determines best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to the organizations policies. Coordinates problem resolution with appropriate departments. Informs customers of standard procedures or resolution of problem. Follows up, either verbally or in writing, to ensure customer satisfaction. The outside sales representative conducts sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers. Both must be knowledgeable of the organizations policies, procedures, practices, products and services. Maintains sales programs within assigned territory by keeping customers informed about available services, supplies, prices and new products. Monitors competitive activity and trends. Keeps records and prepares reports on sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Order processing Executing all aspects of the sales function including order inputting Existing account management Relationship development Serve as primary contact with accounts Process purchase orders and requests for quotations Provide customers with product and delivery information Work closely with warehouse personnel to meet customers requirements Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers. Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily. Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers. Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts. Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally. Sell the companys products or services to customers within your given territory. Monitor the companys industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience High School diploma or GED equivalent, some college is a bonus Prior sales experience preferred General Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) Customer service skills Answering of phones and directing calls Good verbal skills must be able to explain fairly technical parts information clearly Written skills must be able to communicate via email effectively with customers Organizational skills Ability to multi-task
