Western Trailer Sales Co, a leading manufacturer of lightweight bulk commodity trailers for Ag, Wood by-products, Refuse, also Flatbeds, Curtain sides, has a Factory Direct Sales position. This position is based out of preferably Montana, North Dakota, or South Dakota.
Job Description:
The Sales Representative position is responsible / accountable for the sales and promotion of the overall business strategies of the company to new and existing customers in upper Northwest. This individual will need to be motivated and committed to meeting the customers needs, growing market share, maintaining established levels of gross profit and exceeding annual trailer sales goals.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Represent the company for the sale of semi-trailers to customers and defined sales area and defined customer base.
Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all semi-trailers with potential for sale.
Monitor competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management accordingly.
Ability to prioritize building quotes to meet deadlines under pressure.
Strong selling, prospecting, cold calling and presentation skills required to successfully achieve sales quotas and targets.
Maintain sales management information for all customers in the assigned territory and monthly call reports.
Manage market awareness and providing calls and lost sales reports.
Manage designated territory and customers to maximize our presence on semi-trailers purchases.
Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
Monitor trends in customers business activities and timely communicates to management.
Perform trailer appraisals so management can set trade values.
Attend applicable sales training events/seminars.
Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Maintain and update customer prospect list for territories on an ongoing basis.
Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
Maintain an annual forecast plan to maximize market share in responsible territories.
Perform any and all other requests deemed necessary that will promote and grow the business for Western Trailers.
Requirements/Qualifications
5+ years semi-trailer equipment sales experience preferred
Proven track record of successful sales in the semi-trailer equipment market
High level understanding of the market, market trends, and market data analytics
Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Internet functions
Ability to work flexible hours
Excellent customer relationship skills
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
Ability to travel up to 2 weeks per month a long with a passport and the ability to travel freely between Canada and the United States.
