POSITION PURPOSE

To participate in all aspects of Style Encore, our women's retail resale business, including but not limited to buying, selling, pricing, and merchandising. To provide a high level of customer service by ensuring customers are assisted in an enthusiastic, timely, and knowledgeable manner. To assist store management in daily store operations, including the buying of used merchandise. To be a reliable and responsible team player.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Greet customers immediately, determine their needs, and handle all transactions in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
• Become familiar with products, brands and prices and make recommendations of products, including their features and benefits, to suit customers needs. Maximize sales and customer satisfaction by suggesting add-on items when closing the sale.
• Buy used product from our customers, reinforcing that purchasing the right product from our customers will enhance sales to the store. Invite customer to return to the store to buy, sell, or trade. Promote the image and concept of a high-quality resale store.
• Price and ticket items appropriately based on pricing/buying guidelines. Restock store following the merchandising plan. Maintain store displays. Follow store housekeeping and maintenance standards and procedures.
• Develop proficiency in operating the computerized point-of-service (POS) and sales tracking system for all sales transactions, buys, returns, etc.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals by applying exceptional customer service and sales protocol.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior retail experience preferred in similar product lines, but willing to train the right candidate.
• Proven customer service skills required.
• Ability to work well as a team member and to take and follow directions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sales and goal-driven.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.
• Lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Bending, rotating, and reaching conducive to a retail environment when receiving, pricing and stocking merchandise.
• Able to operate a computerized sales terminal.
• No exposure to hazardous materials or environments.

Minimum Age
14+ years old

Pay and Benefits

Rate of pay depends on experience and availability. Starting wage for adults who have full-time availability (32 hours or more) and open availability (days, evenings, weekends) is $15. Entry wage for minors and those with limited availability is $12 - $14.
