You will be accountable for sales of Analytical Sales, Process Automation Measurement & Analytics (PAMA) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, or adjacent locations within the NE United States, driving sales volumes and margins. You will be responsible for managing the targeting and strategic planning of key pursuit accounts and leading the promotion of ABB natural gas analytical solutions The ideal candidate will be technically sound, well spoken, driven and capable of exceeding our customers needs and winning midstream analytical business for ABB.
Your responsibilities
- Identify potential natural gas analytical projects and present ABB solutions that are fit for purpose for our customers.
- Design analytical solutions involving as much ABB content as possible.
- Effectively present the best solutions for our customers that meets and exceeds their expectations.
- Monitor market trends and recommend adjustments for the strategy and plans accordingly to meet changing market and competitive landscapes.
- Communicate the end user value proposition for ABB natural gas analytical solutions (internally and externally).
- Support local channel partners to have an effective perception in ABB Analytical Solutions.
- Responsible for achieving key targets (example volume, price and mix) for the Northeast.
- Create detailed business plans, implement with regular follow up and ensure the major Analytical accounts in Northeast Region are identified and prioritized.
- May act as Account Manager for accounts in conjunction with the Analytical Sales Manager
- Identify and manage potential risks relating to contract agreements and prices across segments
- Report by segment to accurately measure progress and uses common tools to identify future opportunities
Your background
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in analytical instrumentation
- Associate Degree desired
- Advanced understanding of gas quality measurement products and technologies used throughout the Midstream Oil and Gas industry.
- Advanced knowledge and experience working with online natural gas and process NGL chromatographs, TDL analyzers and RVP analyzers.
- Ability to leverage any existing relationships in the industry to bring new selling opportunities to ABB
- Ability to design solutions particular to the customers needs while driving ABB products into the solution
- Ability to demonstrate exceeding customer expectations with a focus on end users to include; their wants and needs, their goals and objectives, how they buy, how they maintain their equipment and how they partner with suppliers.
- Ability to develop relationships at all levels in ABB, our channel partners, and our end users (from field personnel to corner office)
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% with the northeast region.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
