Full description of the position
The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Dir. Global Services and will work closely with the Avantors Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Experience:
- Proven experience in team leadership and supervision.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in budget management and data analysis.
- Knowledge of GxP regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in scientific services management is a plus.
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred

Avantors Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.
In this role you will:
- Coach, motivate, and supervise team members to successfully perform job requirements and achieve goals and objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between customers, VWR services, and VWR sales to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Provide training and backup support to associates to ensure proficiency in required tasks.
- Manage budget and review/approve expense reports.
- Conduct customer reporting and data analysis.
- Act as a role model and mentor for associates, fostering individual professional growth and team cohesion.
- Establish, maintain, and review goals and objectives for the department to align with corporate objectives.
- Monitor and report on performance against established goals and objectives.
- Plan, develop, and implement programs and procedures to improve department and individual productivity, and corporate profitability.
- Handle administrative duties such as performance appraisals, time card review, vacation scheduling, and performance issues.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), scope of work (SOWs), standard performance indicators (SPIs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct internal and external presentations to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with GxP regulations and good documentation practices.
- Bring value to customers through personal development in the industry.
- Demonstrate potential to manage scientific services.
- Manage revenue growth and reduction of total ownership expense (TOE).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
