Job Description:

Motivated AND enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for leasing and maintaining satisfied residents while taking direction from the Asst. Property Manager and Regional Director

Specific Requirements:

Rents apartment homes to prospective residents. Answers outside phone calls and greets visitors.

Answers phone and email inquiries from prospective residents while encouraging them to visit the community. Immediately record all telephone and in-person traffic in Yardi.

Meets with prospective residents to qualify and determine the type of apartment to meet the prospects needs, while using innovative sales techniques to close lease sales.

Shows apartments and the overall community to prospective residents.

Review Make Ready apartments and perform pre-move in inspections to be sure apartment are ready

Meets with prospects to obtain all needed information to begin the application process. This includes entering ALL data in the computer system.

Contacts prospects regarding the approval/disapproval decision. This includes assisting them in completing the lease application, while obtaining initial rent and deposit payments. Most importantly, schedules the move-in date and any maintenance which must be completed in advance of the move-in date.

Responsible for completing leases, move-in packets, and welcome letters with accuracy and timeliness.

Prepares and maintains a file for each resident. This includes ensuring all information is correct and updated on a regular basis, both in the property management software and the lease paper file.

Contacts residents with expiring leases to discuss renewals and encourages lease renewals.

Takes resident calls for service or other needs while forwarding to the appropriate staff members. As appropriate, write work orders for service and process. Ensures all maintenance repairs are handled satisfactorily by contacting resident with completed service tickets weekly and closing out /documenting into Yardi.

Promote good resident relations through courteous and timely responses to resident needs and concerns.

Prepares reports or compiles other data as requested.

Assisting Asst. Property Manager to monitor and track delinquencies.

Performs other duties as assigned which are in the best interest of the company and as directed by the Asst. Property Manager and/or the company.

At all times, represents the company in a professional businesslike manner and conducts oneself in a polished professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous multifamily leasing experience preferred.

Experience with Yardi preferred.

Above average ability to communicate with clients and with co-workers both verbally and in writing.

Professional attire required at all times.

Professional conduct required at all times.

Proficient with Microsoft software including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher.

Ability to learn and comply with industry legal requirements, especially related to Federal and Local Fair Housing Laws.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
