The company is looking for a sales professional with 5+ years of experience in channel sales of electrical and/or technical products to help expand our footprint throughout the U.S. As a Channel Partner Manager, you would report directly to the Vice President of Sales on campaigns and initiatives targeting customer segments and territories. These targeted campaigns may include managing or expanding our channel partner relationships with resellers or electrical distribution, targeted customer segments, and/or lists of enterprise or key accounts. Channel Partner Managers are responsible for developing incoming leads and opportunities from active and past campaigns along with outreach and networking activities to find new prospects. You will be responsible for understanding the market and analyzing and understanding customer needs and managing any potential channel conflict. From this you should be able to propose the best solutions to fit a customers need and use case. To be successful in this role you will need critical thinking skills, organizational skills, and relationship building and managing skills. You should be self-motivated and able to meet and exceed your sales goals. This role will also require you to continue to learn and adapt in this fast-growing market as new products and services are being developed and deployed. Technical, power electronics, consumer electronics, or electrical education and sales background is preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive channel sales and partners strategy to achieve revenue targets
- Partner with national organizations and product leaders to create and drive new strategic channel go-to-market plans
- Build on our partner go-to-market channel that drives sell through and sell with strategies for distribution and resale implementation of our solutions
- Ability & experience to sell at the C-Level focusing on business value
- Understand & keep up with the EV industry, product advancements, service, utility, funding and market updates
- Understand complex business levers and leverage them to navigate business models and contract negotiations
- Fearless & relentless for finding new opportunities to exceed sales targets
- Identify strategic channel sales opportunities with a focus on distribution, resellers, & government opportunities
- Leverage strong channel relationships, consistently collecting and providing feedback on partner and channel customer needs, market trends, and opportunities for continuous process, product, and solution improvement.
- Can effectively leverage in-house expert knowledge to close deals
- Can accurately make monthly and quarterly sales commits and projections
- Ability to close a large variety of deals with multiple different product offerings and provided services
- Track all sales activities in the company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly
- Ensure CRM tools value-selling methodologies are leveraged to process and track opportunities.
- Develop strong, ongoing relationships with National Accounts to land & expand continuous business
- Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize support for having a concrete national presence
- Manage assigned leads and self-generate leads to meet and exceed sales targets
- Regularly perform against individual monthly and/or quarterly targets: pipeline, conversion rates, and opportunities which may consist of meetings, virtual appointments, demos, or follow-up calls assigned to quota carrying Account Executives.
- Chart and deliver timely and accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
- Manage, perform, and close appropriate product demonstrations for sales opportunities.
- Provide strategic vision to negotiate & reach accommodations with mutually agreeable solutions
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of successful outside sales experience selling on a larger scale with experience in EVs, Solar, Electrical, or technical hardware/software (SAAS) company
- Experience with longer sales cycles including government sales a plus
- Knowledge of electricity, electrical vehicle infrastructure and similar technologies
- Experience in electrical distribution sales channel and other applicable sales channels a plus
- Demonstratable experience selling to C-Level Executives
- Ability to travel 20% of the year to national trade shows, associations, conferences, business meetings, charity golf events, and other to improve brand awareness & generate new opportunities for the business
- Product knowledge expert, that thinks quickly and creates creative solutions for strategic account
- Experience in delivering sales reports and forecasts to CEOs and Vice Presidents
- Experience closing multi-million-dollar opportunities in complex situations
- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding 7-figure sales quotas
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Successful resume of strategic sales success and solutions selling accomplishments
- Experience selling EV chargers, system level products, including computer systems, data networking equipment, or software a plus
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to turn complex and dynamic information into a compelling story, with a pursuit to achieve short- and long-term goals
- Proven capability building an extensive sales pipeline.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
