Job Description
Serv-I-Quip, Inc. (SIQ) is looking for a Technical Sales/Business Development Manager (titled Engineering Sales Manager) to expand and strengthen our sales team. The Technical Sales/Business Development Manager will have the opportunity to strengthen relationships with our existing customer base while developing new opportunities and driving continued growth in line with our company vision.
This position is geared toward the individual who is self-motivated, a strong relationship builder at multiple levels and someone dedicated to providing superior customer service for long term success a natural business developer. Developing and delivering critical Process equipment is a highly rewarding field and this position offers excellent room for material growth and the opportunity to play a key role in the companys ongoing success.
The ideal Technical Sales/Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, promoting and securing new opportunities in the HVACR and Vehicle industry sectors, while maintaining and generating additional opportunities from our existing customer base. Through consultation and team work with our experienced Project engineers opportunities are turned in to successful customer solutions.
To the qualified candidate we offer:
- Compensation package $80,000 - $100,000+ base (dependent on experience) plus generous Commission plan

Duties and Responsibilities of the position:
Analyze specified markets and prospect for sales opportunities
Identify and participate in conferences, trade shows and other industry specific forums to promote company/brand
Respond to customer requests and continually nurture strong relationships
Keep contact with existing clients and their engineering staff through regular visits, calls and other forms of communication
Help identify and trouble shoot process problems and filling solutions for customers to improve their manufacturing performance
Develop customer quotations and manage the sales process through to successful order placement
Work with customers to improve our supplier status, payment terms and other key business relationships
Provide continual communication with customers and internal engineering Project Managers to assist in successful project execution
Provide information on the activities of competitors through personal contacts and relationships
As part of the Project team, manage the provision of knowledge, experience, and expertise related to the design and operation of process automated equipment
In conjunction with Project engineering teams, conduct technical meetings and present proposals/quotations to prospective customers
Desired Skills and Qualifications include:
Minimum of 5-10 years technical sales experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience with industrial process equipment, preferably in the HVAC/Refrigeration and/or Vehicle industries
Self-motivated, professional individual with proven history of performance
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required and competency in identifying market opportunities, developing and managing accounts
Graduate degree (Engineering) or Bachelor's degree highly desirable
Familiarity with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office suite
Ability to travel and function at manufacturing sites, as well as ability to work effectively within a technical project team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
