Full description of the position

Towne & Country Management offers superior property management services throughout New Jersey and is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for executing all aspects of the accounts payable function, including ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, resolving discrepancies by working with our property managers, and maintaining relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and prior experience in an accounts payable role.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, including verifying accuracy of invoices to vendor contracts or other supporting documents, and coding expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Ensure required documents have been obtained from new vendors prior to payment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the accounting system (CINC / StrongRoom & AvidPay).
• Partner with internal property managers, accountants and external vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounts payable function.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in accounts payable.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word.
• Prior experience with Strongroom and AvidPay.

Nice To Have

• Prior experience in property management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
