We are looking for an experienced Property Manager to assist the Portfolio Manager and help manage properties located 15 minutes from the office in Berkeley, Oakland, Albany, and the surrounding area. As a Portfolio Manager ou would handle the day-to-day management of a portfolio of around 30 properties and 400 units with a mix of around 80% apartments and 20% offices. This includes leasing, resident relations, marketing, and building projects. This position reports to the Senior Portfolio Manager. Experience managing many properties at once is required. It takes very different skills to manage one 300 unit complex versus thirty 10 unit buildings. You must be a master at multi-tasking and triaging and prioritizing the important tasks of the day. Rent Control knowledge and experience is strongly preferred and desired for this position.

ABOUT THE COMPANY: Premium Properties was founded in 2002 and is a full-service property management and real estate investment company, specializing in property management, leasing, real estate brokerage, investments, and development of residential and commercial properties. We currently manage approximately 900 units and over 75 buildings in the Berkeley/Oakland/Albany areas, and we are actively growing and expanding the business. Our properties are mostly high-end market rate apartments, but we also have several office buildings. Our mission is to always provide premium service to our residents and tenants and take pride in our responsibility to give everyone a safe place to live and work. Each member of our staff plays an integral role in fulfilling this goal. Our office is located on Telegraph Avenue near Ashby, about a mile away from UC Berkeley and near BART and Bus lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES Include, but are not Limited to the Following: Perform all necessary functions to facilitate LEASING procedures at a time a notice to vacate is submitted. This includes, but is not limited to, previewing the units, setting up and monitoring the marketing, after-hours and weekend open house showings, lease and move-in funds collection. The position also requires exercising independent judgment and discretion to handle and resolve resident/tenant requests or concerns in accordance with local and state law, and managing lease compliance by enforcing the terms of residential and commercial leases.

We operate on a Hybrid approach with an accounting and building operations department to handle most of the simple and repetitive tasks and marketing and screening personal to support the leasing. We work as a team to deliver Premium Service and amazing results.

After two years of working at Premium you will learn so much and become one of the most knowledgeable property managers. Nobody manages properties as comprehensively and as creatively as we do.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS DESIRED: Four years of property management at multipe properties at once. Ideally your would have experience in rent-controlled jurisdictions (Berkeley/Oakland); excellent in Windows and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong customer service/resident relations skills; friendly and helpful, even in the face of challenging situations and people; ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner, with management, residents, coworkers, and vendors; strong attention to detail and the ability to perceive when something does not make sense; smart about managing your time to accomplish a variety of tasks and sometimes competing priorities; and excited to help us constantly improve our business and processes, and happy that your ideas count.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
