• Understands automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models; inspecting automobiles
• Qualifies buyers by understanding buyer's requirements and interests; matching requirements and interests to various models; building rapport.
• Demonstrates vehicles by explaining characteristics and capabilities.
• Closes sales by overcoming objections; asking for the sale; price negotiating; completing sales or purchase paper work; explaining provisions; and delivering vehicles.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
• Automotive Sales Consultant Qualifications
• Car Sales experience preferred (dealership experience preferred)
• Those with experience in customer service, account executive, financial services, mortgage, restaurant industries have proven to be very successful when switching careers to Automotive Sales
• Professional appearance
• Valid driver's license
• High school degree
• Willing to undergo a background check
• Positive attitude and demeanor
• Strong focus and desire to achieve sales goals
