IOC Construction is a Chicagoland-based capital construction and maintenance company, building long-lasting relationships with clients, founded in exceptional communication and dependable workmanship. The company performs work in multi-family, commercial, and healthcare markets with a customer first focus and agile mindset.

Primary Function:

We are seeking an experienced Construction salesperson.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

Drive top line growth for the business by aggressively hunting and leveraging relationships across the market to position IOC as the preferred provider of construction services focused on capital projects, repairs and maintenance.

Develop and expand long-term customer relationships with assigned accounts such as managers, owners, consulting engineers, and board of directors to ensure client satisfaction.

Perform presentations, demos, lunch & learns, job-walks, and proposals to promote our services, and solutions.

Demonstrate an understanding of our industry including Commercial, Multifamily and Healthcare construction issues and needs.

Actively participate in industry, professional, & networking organizations.

Employ robust account management skills and provide customers with superior value & service.

Utilize sales tools effectively to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunity within accounts.

Collaborate with internal staff to deliver quality results.

Achieve annual sales and gross margin targets.

Be a positive representative of the company and its values.

Maintain consistently strong communication skills, both oral and written

Ensure the sales processes are followed in accordance with standard operating procedures

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be self-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives, team-oriented, & fast-paced.

Strong interpersonal skills & customer focus ability to relate to people at all levels.

Ability to communicate both on a technical and non-technical basis.

Demonstrated ability to influence customers key decision-makers.

Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.

Proficient with productivity software & applications - MS Office Suite

Construction or interior design sales experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of construction means, methods and standards is desirable

A basic knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management/Marketing or related fields

3-5 years experience needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
