Join us in our important mission to drive healthcare innovation and raise the level of health and well-being worldwide! As a Business Development Manager, you will:
Business Development and Strategy:

  • Develop and deliver sales plan to identify and pursue new business opportunities by systematically focusing on pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, medical device companies, contract research organizations (CROs), universities, and other prospective clients.
  • Establish and maintain commercially productive relationships with key prospects and develop a deep understanding of the purchase decision-making within targeted companies and organizations.
  • Develop and execute strategic client plans that sustain and grow revenues over time.
  • Build on feedback being provided by clients and market intersections, identify opportunities for DIA to provide innovative, customized learning solutions to companies or other organizations and work with Americas leadership team to develop and present those solutions to prospective customers.

Sales Execution and Pipeline Management:

  • Create and execute on a strategic account sales plan that shows relationship and sales progress and present this monthly to the DIA leadership team.
  • Leverage and integrate new solutions into the business development and sales process.
  • Maintain an active, accurate sales funnel, and share it along with key client plans with the regional leadership team so that sales growth needs are understood and delivered upon.

Proposal Development and Client Relations:

  • Lead the development of customized client proposals in collaboration with the Americas management team and appropriate functional experts in the Americas region.
  • Present customer-specific proposals, conduct customer follow-up, and track and report on the status of all proposals
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Head of Growth and with members of the Americas team to share business intelligence and strengthen the organizations value proposition.

Process and Data Management:

  • Maintain an up-to-date database of customer and prospective customer contacts, sales opportunities, and sales activity as a tool to drive performance and enable engagement with DIA leadership.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

To join us, you should have:

  • Bachelors degree required; in related field and Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience, 3 years related consultative selling experience, with demonstrable consistent financial successes required
  • Sales and/or business development experience
  • Experience in the medical/pharmaceutical/life science space.
  • Strategic consultative selling and strong negotiating skills, and the ability to discern clients needs in generating business development plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to build bridges across an organization and with external partners to facilitate collaboration and achieve strategic business goals and deliver required results.
  • Occasional travel (both domestic or international) to Americas offices or specific meetings.
