We are looking for a motivated individual looking to further their career in the Logistics field. The Sales Managerwill have established a high level of consistency in developing a strong customer base and meeting or exceeding sales goals. This position requires someone that has demonstrated the ability to develop strong relationships both within the department and with other department heads that support the overall sales process. A strong knowledge in pricing various modes and ability manage through RFPs through a wide range of industries. This role will also be responsible for training new hires in areas of prospecting, pricing, working closely with Carrier Procurement and call strategy. Other duties may include developing sales contests, hiring/firing, primary Site oversight and overall strategy for growth of office.

Incredible drive and persistence to achieve goals.

Proven ability to be able sell into variety of industries and levels of complexity within a customers supply chain.

- Ability to jointly sell within all of logistics groups - over-the-road (van, flatbed, reefer) freight, expedited freight, drayage services.

High level of customer focus with ability to keep receivables within agreed terms.

Proven track record in training new sales representatives.

Have a strategic approach with both the initial call with a customer and problem resolution.

Strong active listening and effective verbal & written communication skills.

Prior experience managing and growing a sales team.

Must be able to meet deadlines easily.

Computer literacy and advanced Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).

Education & Experience:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.

2+ years of logistics brokerage sales management experience.
