The Inside Sales - Representative position is staffed within the LEWP Sales & Engineering department and is a facility based position.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Be an active participant of the LEWP sales & engineering team, responding to Company
goals as defined by the VP of Sales & Engineering toward the success and development of
LEWP.
- Inside Sales role will be assigned a defined customer base, supporting product groups which
may include rolled mesh, structural and commodity mesh, along with other wire reinforcing products.
- Exhibit leadership in performing duties of this position.
- Communicate directly with customers and manage the requests for quote (RFQ) lifecycle
process, as necessary, from inquiry to post sale follow-up by prioritizing work duties in an
efficient, organized manner.
- Procure freight as required for outbound shipments maintaining budget costs per lane.
- Maintain proficiency with truck loading requirements.
- Appropriately document QC issues through departmental process.
- Perform sales responsibilities effectively and efficiently, managing actions within ERP
software and team CRM applications.
- Be responsible for providing support to the outside sales team.
- Participate in Inside Sales activities to drive LEWP market strategies in pursuit of customer base, tonnage, and profitability.
- Assist in maximizing sales performance and profitability by clearly understanding and
achieving company goals, accomplished through development of strong customer
relationships, understanding their needs, and being proactive in the sales process.
- Remain knowledgeable and involved with current industry trends, engineering specifications and applications, market conditions along with departmental strategies, competitors' strategies and key customer fluctuations.
- Participation in development of new product opportunities toward achieving sales growth in targeted product categories.
- Possess ability to interact and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Support projects and action items as assigned within the LEWP sales and engineering group.
- Travel is not required for this position, but opportunities to travel may arise occasionally.
Qualifications:
- Candidate to possess proven inside sales or similar customer service experience.
- Ideal candidate will have familiarity with logistics and freight procurement.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or with concrete reinforcement is beneficial but not required.
- Must be able to train and achieve a level of proficiency in a timely manner with duties and
responsibilities of the inside sales role.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills toward supporting an engineered product line.
- Ability to self-motivate and capable of prioritizing work duties in an efficient manner.
- Familiarity with ERP systems desired however not required. Experience with CRM's such as
Salesforce is preferred.
- Possess computer knowledge with all Microsoft Office Small Business applications, able to
type with proficiency.
- Technology competent with all customary activity essentials such as email, online
navigation, smartphones, laptops and other as deemed required.
- Language skills with ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate with the English
language on all aspects of sales correspondence, RFQ's, prints and governmental regulatory documents is required. Ability communicate in other languages may be a benefit.
- Physical demands of the position include but are not limited to the responsibilities and
qualifications as described herein. Employee will be regularly required to sit, stand, and at
times walk considerable distances; speak, hear. Will be required to use hands to finger,
handle and reach.
