JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

The Sales Account Manager will support and oversee the day-to-day management of customer accounts as well as management of customer relationships and needs. Direct knowledge of the sales process from start to finish and the production process are requirements of this position. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to increase sales volumes and foster long-term client relationships.. Successful candidates should also possess top-notch communication and negotiation skills. Strong math and problem solving skills are critical to the success of this role.

• Unearth new sales opportunities through networking
• Maintain regular contact with new and existing customers
• Document communication with customers in SIR database
• Achieve agreed upon weekly goals for lead generation and sales volume
• Prepare and submit price quotes based on customer specifications
• Generate purchase orders for customers
• Identify need for special ordering of materials and services for job completion
• Provide estimated delivery date of product to customer based on scheduling
• Prepare weekly reports of sales activity
• Prepare and submit expense reports if / when travel is required
• Attend trade shows if / as needed

Work Environment

The job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This is largely a sedentary role; however some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

Qualifications/Education

An associates degree or higher is required and three years sales experience and or/training preferably in sales or customer service is preferred. Excellent written and verbal skills are a must. Relevant computer skills include Contact Management Systems, Excel or Lotus 123 and Microsoft Word.

Travel

This position requires traveling out of the area overnight at times both to visit customers and to attend trade shows.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
