Full description of the position

Event Sales Manager

Overview: The Event Sales Manager manages all local events and focuses on capturing as many sales as possible for each venue and creates events from conceptualization to execution as well as assisting the on site Event Manager and Operations team with advertising, and branding fulfillments. The Event Sales Manager will be highly organized and responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events, including conferences, trade shows, and corporate functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Sales volume, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.

The Event Sales manager position oversees the event programs for multiple venues. This includes event planning, executing layered events, event labor costs, ordering of furniture and guest relationships. The Events Sales Manager works directly with the management team at each restaurant to ensure event operations are up to par and is on call to remedy any issues that become prudent.

They serve as a point of contact in regards to email responses, BEO generation, gather up-keep, on-site coordination/setup and staffing pars for events.

Job Description:

  • Develop leads and use available resources to create business
  • Guide potential guests/clients on various different options and pricing
  • Creates contracts and communicate with store level teams and corporate
  • Proactively reaches out to relevant brands exhibiting at major conventions in the city for opportunities to host nightclub events and promotions during major convention weeks.
  • Manages all aspects of sales events from conceptualization to execution, including (but not limited to) decor, staff attire, branded promotional giveaways, performers, costumes, social media outreach and promotions.
  • Cultivates, pitches and secures local, regional and national partners / sponsors to create events that attract publicity and attendance to the venue.
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment, and transportation
  • Develop event budgets and manage expenses to ensure cost-effective event planning
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of events
  • Coordinate event logistics, such as registration, attendee management, and on-site support
  • Oversee event setup and teardown, ensuring that all materials and equipment are properly organized and accounted for
  • Manage event timelines to ensure that all activities are completed on schedule
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and attendees throughout the event
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
  • Conceptualizes plans and executes layered, themed, and/or sponsored events to attract local and regional demographic.
  • Works with Beverage Manager/Director to secure liquor sponsors for events.
  • Negotiates contracts with vendors who provide necessary event elements and services such as dcor, entertainment, costumes, performers, branded promotional giveaways, etc.
  • Ensures all events are being properly marketed (grass roots promotions team, Host team, social media, public relations, etc.), and oversees creative direction of sales collateral.
  • Assists in overall Sales operation utilizing relationships for talent bookings, DJ recommendations, promotional partners, etc.
  • Assists and ensures all advertising collateral is sent to print, delivered and posted by deadline.
  • Liaises with hosts, promoters and hotel departments to ensure all sales events and initiatives are properly being communicated to key constituents.
  • Stays current with local organizations, influencers and events that could be potential partners.
  • Stays current with all pop culture and current events and looks for opportunities to capitalize on trends through nightclub events.

Experience/Skills:

  • Knowledge of Tripleseat
  • Microsoft Office knowledge, financial planning and strategy, budget tracking, sales concepts, brand positioning, people management, competitive analysis, forecasting, client relationships, creativity
  • 4-5 years of experience in sales, event planning, execution and management
  • Experience conceptualizing and executing events required
  • 1-2 years of experience in nightlife-focused event sales preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in retail math for budgeting purposes

Event Execution:

Event Sales Manager needs to be present as best to their ability for large on-site events and have the on site event manager briefed on the event:

  • Full Buyouts
  • Partial Buyouts
  • High-End Client/Celebrity

Other Duties included but not limited to:

  • Phone calls and emails between prospective clients
  • Input of all events into reservation systems with proper event blocks, Triple Seat & add to OpenTable
  • Review staff par levels
  • In Venue Manager functions as they relate to events
  • Ability to assist in either venue across all manager departments
  • Venue Event Packets & Training Binder
  • Ensure deposits are redeemed properly and admin fees are added to the final bills
  • Ensure all local managers understand and are training in ringing in events, deposits and fees
  • Communicate team on event protocols

Compensation:

Base Salary: $70,000+ Commission

Insurance: Eligible to be included in a company plan

Experience/Skills:

  • Google Admin knowledge, financial planning and strategy, budget tracking, brand positioning, people management, competitive analysis, forecasting, client relationships, creativity
  • 4-5 years of experience in event Sales, planning and execution, event management
  • Experience conceptualizing and executing events required
  • 4-5 years of experience in event Sales required
  • able to create SOPs for small, medium and big scale events and train the staff to follow those procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
