FLOWER CITY GROUP is hiring Associates to join our Sales Development Program!

Here's the scoop:

Position Title: Sales Development Program Associate
Pay Type: Hourly
FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Senior Leadership
Location: Rochester, NY
Salary Range: $28 - $30/hour

Summary/Objective:

The main objective of the Sales Development Program is to recruit top talent with an interest in learning all aspects of the printing and packaging industry with a focus on business development. This 12-month program is crafted for individuals who seek a performance-based culture that is built on hustle, ambition, hard work, and passion. Candidates will explore all areas of our organization with the intent of becoming a part of the growing sales division. Sales Development Program participants will make valuable contributions as full-time employees from day onedoing real work and delivering real results. During this program, participants will have the opportunity to receive peer feedback, as well as one-on-one coaching. The program is designed to allow participants the opportunity to learn each level of our business, with the goal of using what is learned to contribute towards the Companys growth and stability.

Participants will spend 41 weeks in a rotational format that allows time in each operational area of the company-learning both the foundations of our business and the intricacies of each area of focus. The final 11 weeks are spent developing specific skills required within our sales division.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of projects
  • Creation of production plans and schedules for project timelines
  • Ability to define the project scope and goals
  • Work well with multi-departmental communications
  • Maintain professional working relationships

Physical Demands:
  • Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to eight hours per day.
  • Frequently required to lift and/or carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb.
  • Regularly required to talk and/or hear, see, and perform repetitive motion.
  • Required to see color and use depth perception.

Requirement/Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from an undergraduate program within business, engineering, graphics, marketing, printing, packaging, or another related area of study.
  • Exceptional work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Work is on-site in Rochester, NY
