BlueStone Advisors, a leading specialty insurance broker, provides a full range of retail property/casualty brokerage, risk management services, employee benefits brokerage, and consulting services.
BlueStone Advisors is seeking an experienced commercial insurance Account Manager for New Business marketing and brokering. The Account Manager is responsible for building, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with insurance carriers. Additionally, they will work with the new business production team to quote new business with the carriers and wholesale brokerage firms.
The Account Manager will work as an advisor for carriers & MGA's looking to do business with the agency. The Account Manager serves as the key communication source to inform production and account management teams of the developments and performance of carriers and reviews insurance carrier contracts; carrier licensure obligations; and analyzes prospect and customer segment data to maximize sales results (ROI) and marketing effectiveness.
CARRIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
- Serves as the key communication source for production teams on the developments, performance and concerns of our insurance carriers
- Manages carrier meetings and visits to the agency, ensures the proper individuals are in attendance based on the agenda, and analyzes the effectiveness of the visits
- Manages all relevant carrier and industry communications coming into the agency and disseminates the information to the appropriate personnel
- Updates and maintains carrier center database and contact directory
- Serves as a resource for producers and staff for carrier appetite issues
- Represents agency at carrier events, councils, and panels as required
- Coordinates availability of carrier resources for producer training opportunities
- Obtains and reviews prospect lead lists provided by carrier partners
- Assists producers and team leaders with carrier negotiations as necessary
- Negotiate production and growth incentives between carriers and the agency as necessary
- Strategizes with team leaders on identifying and securing appointments with carriers that demonstrate appetite, expertise, and market potential for BlueStone's industry verticals
- Quotes new business in carrier portals

Qualifications:
College degree required
Insurance license required
Experience in carrier portals
