Job Description:

The Vice President of Sales collaborates closely with the Sales team to support our properties with sales/revenue segments/goals. They will help to strategize, plan for, and execute sales plans to meet and exceed target goals throughout the organization. They will help to develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue, booking pace goals, and overall financial performance within the market. This leader will help to support our Culture of accountability, meeting and exceeding market performance, always focusing on excellent customer experience on the accounts served in the market. This position is a corporate office position based in Tennessee, and this role will require approximately 25% of travel. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our ONE TEAM. ONE VISION. philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

  • Have a proven track record of delivering strong results through strategic planning and execution of initiatives, including but not limited to marketing and sales initiatives such as persuasive communication (written and oral) and exceptional relationship management.
  • Assist in developing strategic sales and marketing plans, providing feedback and insight.
  • Able to identify and grow opportunities within existing and new segments/markets
  • Ability to analyze data, establish appropriate sales strategies, and track key stakeholder metrics through quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Outgoing and self-motivating individual who is a true hospitality professional
  • This person will work with the teams, ensuring they have the right strategies and tools to achieve performance targets.
  • Through their leadership, this person will establish and communicate clear expectations relative to performance targets and opportunity gaps and develop plans to help support and ensure progress.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of current industry trends and potential risks, actively developing strategies to improve sales and promote brand and property marketing efforts
  • Drive the strategic focus on the creation and distribution of exceptional marketing campaigns.
  • Extensive knowledge of sales, marketing
  • Work closely with the team to coordinate special events.
  • Develop and implement all sales and marketing strategies associated with the Consortia, Wholesale, Leisure, and Business Travel Markets.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting plan.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five to seven years of sales and marketing leadership in hotel multi-unit sales and marketing roles.
  • Ability to analyze data and establish appropriate sales strategies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Supervisory and personnel management experience
  • Demonstrated skills in supervising and building a high-performing sales team
  • Can travel on short notice and adaptable to schedule changes
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of DELPHI software programs
  • Extensive knowledge of sales and marketing
  • Experience in a multi-property Sales and Marketing role with branded focused/select and full-service hotels is a plus.
  • Familiar with major markets and those where we are located
  • Experience with multiple major brands (Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, IHG)
  • The ideal candidate has a well-rounded experience base that includes assignments in both line and staff sales and marketing roles.
  • Lodging/hospitality industry experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage large-scale initiatives and associated change
