Full description of the position

Position Title:
National Account Manager

Pay Rate:
$122,000-$203,000
The PL of this role may vary (PL 17, 18, 19) according to candidate skillset and experience. Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IPs annual and long-term incentive plans.

Physical Location:
The location of the position is flexible but needs to be in a location that allows easy travel access to customer sites

The Job You Will Perform:
  • Responsible for sales and management of a defined segment/geographic territory and requires travel approximately 50% - 75% of the time
  • Participates in the commercial and goal setting for the segment/geography and is responsible for developing and executing the strategic sales plan
  • Develops alliance relationships that cause multi-functional collaboration between account(s) and IP
  • Executes co- developed Key Account Plans with highest priority strategic accounts
  • Provides insights for development of customer value propositions
  • Completes a selection and prioritization process to focus sales effort and engage support resources
  • Develops the Key Account Plans securing senior management support for actions and review with manager for input and approval
  • Analyzes business conditions and identifies opportunities and recommends solutions
  • Maintains knowledge of customers operational direction
  • Segments targeted accounts supply channels, service expectations and strategic financial requirements
  • Geographic or segment focused and the leader for major accounts
  • Responsible for one or more of the accounts in Business Units top 25% list, which represent a major portion of Business Units profitability
  • Assigned accounts are multi-location and complex in nature with multi-division needs
  • Key participant in business goal setting

The Skills You Will Bring:
  • 8 years experience in sales, with 5 or more years of corrugated sales experience
  • Bachelors degree with a preferred focus in Professional Sales or related business discipline required
  • Thorough understanding of the corrugated industry
  • Knowledge of and compliance with local and corporate policies
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to influence others effectively to accomplish tasks
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Flexible team player with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
